Honorable Mention
A Door in the Forest with No Walls
T. E. Ballard (Treezaa)

Think of the man
who brought the woman here

because it is beautiful, a site to see—
for all has fallen away

except this door.

And it is not the face of the man
or the orange lilies

growing over there
but the opening she loves.

Everything slips through her;
day, night, a sky with no stars.

I am the door, ribs on a cage
she names herself slowly

as he enters.
